Bio Corey
Bowman works as a the exhibits manager for the Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake City, Utah. He often finds that his work borders that
done by an artist and that done by a museum curator. Artist Statement The
work of Corey Bowman borders between a curatorial and installation art form.
Through the collecting and display of objects he addresses social
problems. Each work gives the viewer a
guided tour inside the curator/artists creation rather than just allowing
them to stand passively before a static image. Viewers walk around, inside, and through
space, experiencing what have become “surrogate scale models of the world at
large.” |
